The Photo Contest 2021 Begins!!

Thanks to the tremendous response to the photo contest, the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation New Delhi are pleased to present the “CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTEST 2021” again this year!! This year's contest is one of the events to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Japan-India diplomatic relationship in 2022.
As we celebrate this momentous year 2022 with Indian friends, we look forward to receiving your entries and sharing your wonderful experiences in Japan with us!!

Submit your photos to get a chance!!

―　to win a Canon Camera （if selected among the top 3）
―　to be invited to a Prize Ceremony and receive a photo album of the winners` photos（if selected among the top 10）
―　to have them displayed in a Photo Exhibition (if selected)
―　to have them featured in newsletters, online SNS channels, and in future events

Qualification Requirements

・The eligible participants are only Indian citizens who have stayed in Japan between January 2019 and December 2021, will be living in India as of 1st February 2022, and are not professional photographers.

・The theme is “What you were impressed by / amazed with / marveled at in Japan.”

・The participants are required to submit the photos taken by themselves only, which were taken in Japan while staying in the same during the period mentioned above and also have not been submitted to the past photo contests.

Photo Exhibition

Among the submitted photos, the selected ones will be displayed in a photo exhibition at the gallery of the Japan Foundation after the middle of February 2021.　However, depending on the COVID-19 situation, the exhibition may be held online.
The details of the photo exhibition will be announced at a later date.

Prize Ceremony

Winners of 10 outstanding works will be invited to a prize ceremony which will be held at the Ambassador’s residence. However, depending on the COVID-19 situation, the ceremony may be held online. In or after the ceremony, all the winners will be presented prizes (photo album of the winners’ works), and the top 3 among those 10 winners will be presented special prizes: Canon Cameras, sponsored by Canon India!!
The details of the ceremony will be announced to the winners at a later date, after the decision by the judging committee.

Photo Submission Instructions

Entries are to be accepted from 5th November 2021 to 5:00 pm on 4th January 2022. Please follow the instructions given below for submitting the entries.

Entry Form

Please fill in and submit the Entry form along with your photos (Maximum up to 2 [two] photographs) by email, to the Embassy of Japan (dl.india@nd.mofa.go.jp), with the subject line of email as “Photo Contest 2021”, within the above mentioned period.
Please note that the size of the picture must not exceed 5 MB of image data per photo. Please send in separate emails if the size of each picture is 5 MB, or total size of the 2 pictures adds up to more than 5 MB.
