Announcement of Special Exhibition “Japan from India’s Perspective”

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India, and also marks the 5th anniversary of the "Click! Japan Photo Contest."
To commemorate both the anniversaries, we are holding a Special Exhibition, "Japan from India's Perspective," to showcase some of the outstanding works including TOP 10 winning entries as well as other extraordinary photographs taken by Indian travelers during their past visits to Japan, submitted as entires to the contests in the past.
These photographs showcase distinctive seasons, traditional culture, architecture and latest technology seen through the perspective of Indian travelers.
As a special feature for the 70th Anniversary, this exhibition also includes panels to showcase the trajectory of the strong friendship between Japan and India over the last many decades, including photographs of the gifting of the baby elephant Indira to Japanese children, photographs of past visits by successive heads of Government of both Japan and India.
