Handover Ceremony of the Project for Provision of Eye Medical Equipment at Shija Hospital, Imphal West, Manipur

The handover ceremony of “The Project for Provision of Eye Medical Equipment at Shija Hospital, Imphal West, Manipur”, under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme, was held on 27th April, 2022, in Imphal West, Manipur.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Rajkumar Nimai Singh, President of Shija Foundation, Mr. Suresh Singh Thokchom, Assistant Secretary of Shija Foundation, the recipient organization of this grant, and Mr. MIYAMOTO Shingo, Minister (Economic and Development), Embassy of Japan in India.

The Government of Japan hopes that these projects will contribute in improving the medical environment in the project areas and enhance the accessibility to medical services for the people in need. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. On this auspicious occasion, we will further develop the friendly and cooperative relationship between Japan and India.
