Click! Japan Photo Contest 2021-2022 Prize Ceremony

With the idea of promoting cultural exchange between India and Japan through photographs of Japan taken from various perspectives, the Embassy of Japan in India was pleased to organise the "Click! Japan Photo Contest 2021-2022, Prize Ceremony” at the Ambassador's residence on 28th March 2022.
The contest was jointly organised by the Embassy of Japan in India and the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, with the support of Canon India and the Japan National Tourist Organisation Delhi Office. This was marked as one of the events commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India. The top ten photographs amongst hundreds of amazing entries received were declared winners and the respective applicants were invited to attend the ceremony.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Kunihiko KAWAZU, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan, delivered his opening remarks in which he emphasised the importance of cultural and people-to-people exchanges in deepening friendly relations between Japan and India as well as the significance of further promotion of such exchanges in the future. Also, Mr. Koji SATO, Director of the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, Mr. YAMASAKI, President & CEO of Canon India, and Mr. Yusuke YAMAMOTO, Executive Director of Japan National Tourist Organisation Delhi Office, delivered congratulatory speeches.
The Embassy of Japan and Canon India presented the top 10 winners with certificate of commendation and an album respectively. Additionally, the top three winners, Mr. Ankit Pahwa, Mr. Gaurav Gupta and Mr. Ayan Sengupta, were awarded a Canon camera and delighted the audience by sharing their memorable experiences in Japan.
