【Report】The Handover Ceremony of “The Project for the Transportation Facilitation for Eliminating Violence against Children in Remote Areas in Bhutan”

The handover ceremony of “the Project for the Transportation Facilitation for Eliminating Violence against Children in Remote Areas in Bhutan” under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme of the Government of Japan, was held on 3 March 2026, in Thimphu, Bhutan.
The ceremony was attended by Mr.Bishal Rai, Chairperson of the Nazhoen Lamtoen, the recipient organization and Mr. OTSUKI Kei, Second Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Bhutan.

The Government of Japan believes that this project, through the provision of the vehicle, will contribute to further strengthening the child protection and livelihood support activities implemented by Nazhoen Lamtoen, thereby further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Bhutan and Japan.
