【Report】The Handover Ceremony of “The Project for the Development of the Institute of Wellbeing for Addiction Control in Thimphu”

The handover ceremony for “The Project for the Development of the Institute of Wellbeing for Addiction Control in Thimphu” under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme of the Government of Japan, was held on 2 March 2026, in Thimphu, Bhutan.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Jigme Thinley, Director of the Bhutan Youth Development Fund, the recipient organization, and Mr. OTSUKI Kei, Second Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Bhutan.

The Government of Japan hopes that this project, through the provision of the vehicle, will contribute to enhancing access to medical and social services for users of the welfare facility operated by the Bhutan Youth Development Fund, thereby further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Bhutan and Japan.
