【Report】The Handover Ceremony of the Project for Construction of an Institute and an Eye Care Centre for the Blinds, Mohali, Punjab

The handover ceremony of “The Project for Construction of an Institute and an Eye Care Centre for the Blinds, Mohali, Punjab” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme of the Government of Japan was held on April 23, 2024, in Mohali, Punjab.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Vinod Kumar Chadha, Honorary President at the recipient organization of the grant “National Association for the Blind”, and Mr. KODERA Jiro, Counsellor and Mr. NISHI Ryuhei, First Secretary at Embassy of Japan in India.

The Government of Japan hopes that this project under the GGP scheme will encourage the visually impaired people in the target areas to participate in socio-economic activities and will further foster friendship and cooperation between Japan and India.
