Ambassador SUZUKI Felicitates Dr. Rajiv Kumar on the Conferment of Decoration

Mr. Suzuki Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan to India, hosted a ceremony to felicitate Dr. Rajiv Kumar, former Vice-chairman of NITI Aayog, on receiving the Decoration of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Stars.
Dr. Kumar was decorated with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Stars, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening the economic relations between Japan and India, particularly as a former co-chair of the Joint Committee Meeting of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.
Ambassador Suzuki congratulated Dr. Kumar on his contributions to Japan-India economic relations over the years, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project, the flagship project of Japan-India relations.
Dr. Kumar expressed that his ties with Japan are long-standing and that he would like to take this decoration as an opportunity to further contribute to the development of Japan-India relations.
