Ambassador SUZUKI Felicitates Admiral Karambir Singh on the Conferment of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star

 Ambassador of Japan to India, H.E. Mr. SUZUKI Hiroshi, today hosted a ceremony to felicitate Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, the 24th Chief of the Naval Staff and Chairman of the National Maritime Foundation, on receiving the Decoration of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star.
 Admiral Singh was decorated in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening the relationship between India and Japan on national defense.
 In the context of the dynamic development of Japan-India security relations for the realization of a free and open Indo-Pacific, including in the field of maritime security, Ambassador Suzuki praised the significant contribution made by Admiral Singh in improving the interoperability between Japan and India and in enhancing the capabilities of the Self-Defense Forces of Japan.
 Admiral Singh stated that the immense strides that we have made in India-Japan relations, particularly in maritime domain, was the result of meeting of minds at all levels. And stronger India-Japan partnership is not only necessary for India and Japan but for the region and indeed for the entire globe.
