【Report】The Handover Ceremony of the Project for Reconstruction of Irrigation Channels in Jamkhar Gewog, Trashiyangtse in Bhutan

The Handover Ceremony of the “Project for Reconstruction of Irrigation Channels in Jamkhar Gewog, Trashiyangtse in Bhutan,” under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme, was held online on September 21, 2022.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. HOKUGO Kyoko, Minister (Economic and Development) from the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi and Mr. Cheku, Chairperson, Local Government Jamkhar Gewog, the recipient organization of the grant.

We will continue our endeavors to develop the friendly and cooperative relationships between Japan and Bhutan.
*Dasho Baburam Sherpa, Gup of Jamkhar Gewog, Trashiyangste Dzongkhag, who was originally scheduled to participate the ceremony, was unable to attend due to urgent matters. Mr. Cheku represented the recipient organization of this grant on behalf of him.
