Online Seminar “Japan and India: 70 Years of Cooperation and the Way Forward”

On February 24, the Embassy of Japan in India and Ananta Centre, one of the leading Think Tanks of India, co-hosted the online seminar “Japan and India: 70 Years of Cooperation and the Way Forward.”
 
The year 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India. This commemorative seminar focused on the history of Japan-India relationship as well as the vision for the future of the two countries.
 
Ambassador SUZUKI Satoshi delivered the keynote speech in the opening session. Mr. Honda Taro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of India participated through their video messages. The seminar witnessed prominent Japanese and Indian experts of various fields discuss a wide range of issues related to cultural and historical relations between Japan and India. They also discussed such areas as our economic partnership and bilateral cooperative synergy in the Indo-Pacific region.
