Inauguration of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line (Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 - Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake), supported by the Government of Japan

On 6th August 2021, the section between Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 and Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake of the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Project (Phase 3), which has been supported by Japanese ODA loan, was inaugurated. The section has opened today eliminates a missing link, and makes the Pink Line a single complete line. Japan has been supporting the Delhi Metro Project continuously by providing its ODA loan. In these newly-inaugurated sections of Delhi Metro, Japanese companies have been participating, including: Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. as the project management consultant; Mitsui & Co., Ltd. as the supplier of iron rails; Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. as the supplier of signalling systems; Mitsubishi Electric as the supplier of the propulsion system for the rolling stocks.
 
Mr. ANDO Toshihide, Chargé d’affaires a.i., Embassy of Japan, celebrated the inauguration of this line at the online ceremony, along with H.E.
