Japanese Culture Introduction Program at the G20 Flower Festival

The Embassy of Japan in India organized a Japanese culture introduction program at the G20 Flower Festival at Connaught Place in Delhi during 11 to 12 March.
 
The G20 Flower Festival was organized by the NDMC in collaboration with the G20 Secretariat of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, which has been constituted for various cultural exchanges between India and G20 countries, as India holds the G20 Presidency this year.
 
In the Japanese culture introduction program, demonstrations on traditional Japanese culture such as Zen and Bonsai were held with the cooperation of the Delhi Chapter of Ohara School of Ikebana and the Indian Bonsai Association. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Bhupender Yadav, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and H.E. Mr Vinay Kumar Saxena, Lt. Governor of Delhi among other dignitaries from the Government of India and the NDMC. Many Delhi citizens enjoyed the garden displayed in the traditional Japanese style and observed the presentations on the long, friendly history of cultural exchange between India and Japan.
