The third Anniversary of Imphal Peace museum

On 22nd June, Mr. Kawazu, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan, attended the third Anniversary of Imphal Peace museum.
Shri La. Ganesan, Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Mr. Atsushi Sunami, President of Sasakawa Peace Foundation, along with the Japanese delegations from Delhi and Japan, also attended the function.
Before the ceremony, Mr. Kawazu visited India Peace Memorial built by the Japanese Government, and paid homage to the Japanese soldiers who lost their lives during the battle of Imphal and Battle of Kohima.
In his speech, Mr. Kawazu expressed his deep sorrow for many of the souls that had fallen in Manipur. Mr. Kawazu also shared his appreciation to Nippon Foundation, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and people of Manipur for their contribution to build the Imphal Peace Museum.
After the ceremony, Mr. Kawazu met with Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Chief Secretary of Manipur and discussed further cooperation between Manipur and Japan.
