2021 Foreign Minister's Commendations Ceremony for Ms.Ajanuo Belho and Mrs. Saveena Gadhoke

On November 11, 2021, Ambassador Suzuki held a ceremony to celebrate the conferral of the Foreign Minister's Commendation for FY 2021 upon Ms.Ajanuo Belho, Director of Directorate of Tourism, Nagaland, and Mrs. Saveena Gadhoke, “Sogetsu School of Ikebana Delhi Chapter” Program Chairperson.
 
The Commendation was presented to Ms. Ajanuo Belho in recognition of her enduring contribution towards Japan and the people of Japan through collecting bones of former Japanese soldiers in Kohima, Nagaland, which was one of the stages of the Battle of Kohima during the World WarII.
 
The Commendation was presented to Mrs. Saveena Gadhoke in recognition of her long-standing contribution towards promotion of Japanese Culture in India and strengthen the relationship between Japan and India through the activities to introduce Ikebana and Bonsai.
 
On this occasion, Ambassador Suzuki delivered his congratulatory remarks.
 
Both recipients expressed that the award would motivate them to further contribute to strengthen people-to-people exchanges between Japan and India.
