Inauguration of Delhi Metro’s Grey Line (Najafgarh – Dhansa Bus Stand), supported by the Government of Japan

On 18th September 2021, the section between Najafgarh and Dhansa Bus Stand of the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Project (Phase 3), which has been supported by Japanese ODA loan, was inaugurated. The section that was opened today directly serves the town centre of Najafgarh, South-West Delhi and enhances the public transport network there. The inauguration of this section marks the completion of all projects of Delhi Metro Phase 3 which have been supported by Japanese ODA Loan. In these newly-inaugurated sections of Delhi Metro, Japanese companies have been participating, including: Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. as the project management consultant; Nippon Steel as the manufacturer of iron rails; Mitsui & Co., Ltd. as the supplier of iron rails; Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. as the supplier of signalling systems; Mitsubishi Electric as the supplier of the propulsion system for the rolling stocks.
 
H.E. Mr. SUZUKI Satoshi, Ambassador of Japan to India, celebrated the inauguration of this line along with H.E. Japan has continuously been committed to supporting the Delhi Metro, and has been providing its support to Delhi Metro Phase 4 through Japanese ODA Loan.
