Malabar 2021 (Update)

1. Phase 1-1
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, deploying its Special Boarding Unit, conducts a multilateral exercise “Malabar 2021” with Royal Australian Navy, Indian Navy, and the United States Navy in Guam and its vicinity from August 23rd to September 10th, 2021.
2. Phase 1-2
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force conducted another part of multilateral exercise “Malabar 2021” in which it deployed JS Kaga, JS Murasame, JS Shiranui, P-1 aircraft and a submarine with the Royal Australian Navy, Indian Navy, and the United States Navy in the Philippine Sea from August 26th to 29th, 2021.
