JENESYS 2019 Participants from India to be sent to Japan

We have the pleasure to inform that the Government of Japan has decided to invite 76 students and youths from India to visit Japan under the JENESYS short-term invitation programme.

This year, in cooperation with AFS India, we will be inviting 4 groups based on different themes. The selected participants, after arriving in Japan on 19th November, will have a Post-Arrival Orientation, and thereafter, will move to the local cities and experience Japanese Culture and Technology through exchange programs and home stays to be held in various places.

JENESYS stands for “Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths” and is a people-to-people exchange program between Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.

JENESYS’s object is to promote mutual trust and understanding among the younger generations of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation in the region, and to encourage their understanding of Japan’s economics, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations.
