Exchange of Notes concerning Grant Aid Project in the amount of 174 million Yen conducted

On May 27, H.E. Mr. SUZUKI Satoshi, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan, exchanged notes in New Delhi, concerning the provision of grant aid towards a project in Bhutan under Japan’s ODA scheme, namely, “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”.
Details of the project are as follows:
‘The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship’
Counterpart: Royal Civil Service Commission, Bhutan
Total amount of the Grant: 174 million Japanese Yen
This project provides scholarship for young public service officers in Bhutan to acquire a Masters or Doctoral degree in Japanese higher educational institutions.
It is expected that this project will lead to enhancement in the capability of policy making in Bhutan, and contribute towards further strengthening of the friendship and cooperation between Japan and Bhutan.
