Grant Aid Project towards Bhutan to be signed in the amount of 174 million Yen

The signing ceremony of documents for a grant aid project towards Bhutan under Japan’s ODA scheme, namely, the Exchange of Notes (E/N) for “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”, will be held on 19th June 2019, at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi.

In this ceremony, the E/N for the above-mentioned project will be signed between H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan.

 Details of the project are as follow:

“The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”
 (Recipient Organization: Royal Civil Service Commission)

This project, the amount of which totals around 174 million Yen, provides scholarship for young public officers in Bhutan to take a master or doctor degree in Japanese higher educational institutions.

This project will lead to improving the ability of policy making in Bhutan and contribute towards further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Japan and Bhutan.
