Exchange of Notes concerning Grant Aid Project amounting to 796 million Yen

On October 22, H.E Mr. SUZUKI Satoshi, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan, exchanged notes in New Delhi concerning Japan’s grant aid for “The Project for Making Digital Topographic Map”.

Details of the project are as follows:

Counterpart: National Land Commission Secretariat (NLCS)
Total amount of the Grant: 796 million Japanese Yen
 
This project provides digital topographic maps of central north and major urban areas in Bhutan for equipping geospatial information which is fundamental to formulate various development plans to promote disaster prevention measures and water source management.
 
Japan will continue to extend its assistance in the economic development of Bhutan by meeting its various needs - from small to large - by effectively combining Grant Aid, GGP, and ODA Loan.
