Ryoko Moriyama is Japan’s renowned vocalist and songwriter. As the eldest daughter of Japan’s pioneer trumpet player, she captured instant attention with her excellent singing abilities and her clear, pure voice. She debuted in 1967 with her self-penned song “Kono Hiroi Nohara Ippai” (A Field Full of Love). Since then she has been delighting audiences with her many songs.
At her first appearance in New Delhi, she is planning to have a joint session with Maestro Shubhendra Rao, sitar player, and leading tabla player, Durjay Bhaumik, in addition to her original numbers.

Mr. Isao Miyoshi and Ms. Hatsuho Furukawa will accompany her on the guitar and piano respectively.

Shubhendra Rao is one of the foremost disciples of sitar maestro, Pandit Ravi Shankar. From a young age, Shubhendra showed a great talent for music. In 1987, he gave his first solo concert and since then, has gone on to establish himself as one of the leading instrumentalists. He has performed at some of the most prestigious venues of the world.
