The Takarazuka Revue OGs
16 freelance members will entertain you with Japanese folk songs/dances
and songs/dances from American musicals and standard Jazz music.
Japanese traditional stage arts, such as Noh and Kabuki, which started 300 to 1000 years ago, are solely performed by males. The Takarazuka Revue is an all-female acting troupe. It was born in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, in 1914, as a new type of public entertaining culture in modern Japan.
Their performances consist of two parts: musical dramas, which are adapted from well-known novels and films, and performed by manly male part performers and feminine female part performers on the one hand, and dances/songs performances on the other hand. Their dreamy and romantic performances are supported by thousands of admirers.
