have learned with sorrow of the disastrous flood
in India, which has claimed a tragic loss of
life and property. On
behalf of the Government and people of Japan,
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to
the people of India through Your Excellency and
our hope that the present situation will be brought
under control and allow for expeditious recovery.

believe that your country will overcome this
tragic setback and continue to strengthen our
bilateral relations. I
