Excellency,
May I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency, on the
occasion of your assumption of the office of Minister of External
Affairs.
Japan and India have long been building a strong and close relationship
with each other, based upon our historical and cultural ties and
shared values such as democracy and market economy. Moreover, both
our countries have a significant role to play in shaping the future
of Asia and beyond.
Based upon our agreement to establish a Global Partnership, I am
determined to work hard to further develop our bilateral relationship.
In this regard, I very much look forward to working with Your Excellency,
and to having an opportunity to draw upon your rich diplomatic experience.
