During the Japan-India Annual Summit Meeting held on 25 October 2010, both Prime Ministers stressed upon the importance of academic and people-to-people exchanges between Japan and India.
Under this recognition, in order to attract more international students, Japan Education Fair will be held on 1st November, 2011 (Tuesday), at The Japan Foundation building (5-A, Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar–IV, New Delhi) , from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Japanese 11 outstanding universities (Doshisha University, Keio University, Kyoto University, Kyushu University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Ritsumeikan University, Sophia University, The University of Tokyo, Tohoku University, University of Tsukuba, Waseda University) will be participating in the fair.
In this event, there will be counseling with respective universities, Video Shows (general introduction of Japan, guide for studying in Japan and Japanese Anime), panel discussion (Studying in Japan & Job Opportunities). Along with that, the Embassy of Japan will also participate in the event and provide information regarding Japanese Government Scholarships and other related matters.

In addition to Japan Education Fair in New Delhi, Orientation Seminar for Project for Future Researchers at IITH (Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad) to Enhance Network Development with Scholarship of Japan (FRIENDSHIP) will be organized by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) at Lecture Hall 3, IITH from 14:30 to 17:00 on 2nd November, 2011 to introduce new Ph.D scholarship in Japan for IITH students. Japanese 4 major universities (Keio University, Ritsumeikan University, The University of Tokyo, Waseda University) will be participating in the seminar.
