During the Japan-India Annual Summit Meeting held on 22 October 2008, the Prime Ministers of the two countries emphasized on the importance of bilateral exchanges at various levels, such as cultural, academic, youth, and people-to-people.
Under this recognition, a Japan Education Fair is being organized as part of the ongoing ‘Japan Cultural Month’, on October 30, 2008 (Thursday), at Sadbhavana Auditorium, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University, from 11 am to 5 pm, in order to strengthen and promote exchange of students between Japanese and Indian educational and technical institutions.
The education fair is part of the continuing joint activities between the Mombusho Scholars Association of India (MOSAI), the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), and the Embassy of Japan, New Delhi.
18 Japanese universities, professional training colleges and Japanese language institutions will participate in this event. They will be available in their respective stalls/booths for face-to-face personal counselling on all aspects of studying in their institutions. Simultaneously, there will be presentations by JASSO, Ministry of Education, and the Embassy of Japan, twice during the day, one in the forenoon and one in the afternoon, including question and answer sessions.
The Japan Education Fair presents a good opportunity for those seeking higher education in Japan for Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate or non-degree courses offered by some of the best known universities, professional training colleges and institutions in Japan. Comprehensive information on these study opportunities will be available at the Fair.
