Japan Education Fair to be held in New Delhi, Bangalore & Pune


During the Japan-India Annual Summit Meeting held on 29 May 2013, Prime Ministers of the two countries expressed their resolve to further promote people-to-people exchanges between Japan and India.

Under this recognition, in order to attract more international students, the Japan Education Fair will be organized on 6th September 2013 (Friday), from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, at The Lalit New Delhi, and on 7th September 2013 (Saturday), from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, at Bishop Cotton Boys School, Bangalore.

Ten outstanding Japanese universities (Doshisha University, Keio University, Kyoto University (Bangalore only) Kyushu University, Nagoya University, Ritsumeikan University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Tohoku University, The University of Tokyo, Waseda University) will be participating in the fair. The Ritsumeikan India Office in New Delhi and the University of Tokyo India Office in Bangalore will be organizing the fair in the respective cities by getting support from the Government of Japan under the Global 30 Project.

In this event, there will be booths for counseling set up by the participating universities. In addition, panel discussions on studying in Japan will be organized. Along with that, the Embassy/Consulate of Japan will also participate in the event and provide information on the Japanese Government Scholarships and other related matters.

In addition to the Japan Education Fair in New Delhi and Bangalore, the Mombusho Scholars Association of India (MOSAI), the alumni association of Indians who studied in Japan, will be organizing Japan Education Fair in Pune, at SP College, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on 8th September 2013, and from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, on 9th September 2013. Seven Japanese universities, namely, Doshisha University, Keio University, Nagoya University, Ritsumeikan University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, The University of Tokyo, Waseda University, will be participating in the seminar.
