The
Government of Japan officially announced, on Saturday,
April 29, 2006, that it would honour Dr.Amit
Mitra, Secretary-General, Federation of Indian Chambers
of Commerce and Industry, with the Order
of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon,
in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards
the promotion of friendly relations between Japan
and India. The decoration is conferred upon Dr. Mitra
by His Majesty AKIHITO, Emperor of Japan. |
