The Embassy of Japan in India is truly grateful to receive numerous inquiries from the people of India for sending contributions towards the relief of the victims of Tohoku district - off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake which severely hit Japan on March 11, 2011.
The Embassy has been accepting relief money from individuals and organizations in India from 23rd March 2011.
The Government of Japan has decided to re-extend the last date for acceptance of relief money to 31st March, 2014.
The received donations will be duly transferred to the Japanese Red Cross Society or to the Government of Japan and will be used for the victims of this natural calamity. (Donations received by the Japanese Red Cross Society will be transferred to the “Donation Distribution Committee” in the devastated local governments and paid to victims through the committee.)
