When we reflect on the historical relations between Japan and India in modern times, it strikes us that those Indians who came to Japan played an extremely important part in their evolution. Among them, two names, Rash Bihari Bose and Subhas Chandra Bose, stand out.
Prof. Krishna Bose is an eminent writer, educationist and parliamentarian. She is currently Chairperson of Netaji Research Bureau. Her books among others include Subhash Chandra Bose and East Asian with particular emphasis on Japan. In her lecture, she will be talking about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and India Japan Relations with particular reference to Japan’s cooperation in India’s independence movement.
Prof. Nobuko Nagasaki of University of Ryukoku is currently the Director of Afrasian Centre for Peace and Development Studies. She will talk on how the Japanese people see the two Boses.
