Japan was the Partner Country of IETF 1997, when India was celebrating the golden jubilee of its Independence. A large number of corporate houses participated in the IETF displaying the superior technological prowess of Japan. On that occasion, Japan also held Japan Cultural Month “NAMASTE JAPAN” by bringing popular groups to introduce traditional and contemporary Japanese culture through theatres, concerts, fashion shows, lectures, and exhibitions etc.
Japan’s participation in the IETF 2007 as the Partner Country, when we are celebrating 50th Anniversary of Japan India Cultural Relations will be an important milestone in our bilateral relations. Many corporate houses, like Canon, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Honda Motors, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Marubeni, Mekaro, Mitsubishi Chemicals, Mizuho Bank, Nikon, Nippon Steel NTT, Sumitomo, Toshiba, etc. would be showcasing their latest technology. Besides these, JICA, JETRO, JBIC, some Prefectural Governments would also be introducing their activities.
14th February will be celebrated as JAPAN DAY with the participation of the popular humanoid robot “ASIMO” and Wadaiko Performance by OEdo Sukeroku Taiko Group. |
