There will be Japanese Food Stall arranged by the Japanese Ladies Association and Ikebana Lecture-Demonstration by Ms. Veena Dass. Some Japanese arts & crafts items will also be on display.

5th May is celebrated as the Children’s Day in Japan. Families with boys display model armor and warrior’s helmets and put up carp streamers. Carp fish can swim powerfully against strong currents. The streamers symbolize the wish that boys will achieve success and become strong and confident.
Indian Council for Japanese Culture will hold a recital of poems on children by Japanese and Indian poets. There will be an exhibition of Hina Matsuri dolls, Tangonosekku, fans of Japan and India, etc.
