Themes:

Part I (0:00- ) “Flying to see you”: Being sung in Japanese, this part extends the message of flying over the sea to see a friend waiting for a long time. The moment to see each other is awaited with a lot of hope. This part features Japanese musical instruments fue, taiko, and koto.

Part II (1:14- ) “Welcome”: Being sung in Hindi, this part conveys the message of receiving the friend arriving from a distant place, with a lot of joy. This part features Indian musical instruments sitar, sarod, dholak, and tabla.

Part III (2:28- ) “Life”: This is the fusion part featuring both the countries’ traditional instruments, including the ones played in Part I and II, and the Japanese shamisen. In the live concert on 28th Dec., the Indian tanpura was featured.

Part IV (4:36- ) “Dawn”: Being sung in English, this final part gives the message of moving forward towards a bright future, hand in hand. The lyrics were written in English so that everyone could join in the song.
