Nihonga - involves the use of rock powders derived from natural minerals, shells, corals, and semi-presicious stones on handmade paper. Silver & gold leaves are also used. Madhu Jain learnt this art form in Japan and adpted this to create contemporary Nihonga in her own style. She portrays Indian folk-life, nature with the brilliance of these pigments. Madhu Jain held her exhibitions in India, Japan, Singapore and USA. |
