The Government of Japan has been supporting Bhutan in various projects, such as construction of bridges, as well as provision of fire engines and compactor trucks.
This project, with funding assistance amounting to 8 million Yen, aims to construct a common facility center for local artisans making traditional handmade paper in Trashiyangtse.
The Government of Japan hopes that this project, under the GGP Scheme, will facilitate enhanced income for the local artisans at Trashiyangtse and promote the development of handmade paper making industry, through the provision of a good working environment. The Government of Japan looks forward to further developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Japan and Bhutan.
