Three Grant Assistance Projects towards Bhutan signed in the amount of 24 million Yen

The signing ceremony of the Grant Contracts (G/Cs) for Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), was held on 5th March 2019, at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi.

In this ceremony, the G/Cs were signed between H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan.

On the occasion, Ambassador Hiramatsu expressed the wish that Japan would like to further contribute towards the economic development of Bhutan by meeting various needs of the country, by better combining Grant Aid, GGP and Technical Cooperation.

 (1) “The Project for Provision of Patrol Cars to Community Police Centers in Trongsa and Mongar”
          Recipient Organization: Royal Bhutan Police
          Total amount of the Grant: 7.8 million Yen
  
(2) “The Project for Improvement of All Weather Farm Road”
          Recipient Organization: Guma Gewog, Punakha
          Total amount of the Grant: 7.2 million Yen
  
(3) “The Project for Establishment of “Centre of Genekha District for Community Based Care (C4CBC)” for people living with HIV/AIDS in Thimphu”
          Recipient Organization: LhakSam
          Total amount of the Grant: 9 million Yen
