Grant Assistance Projects signed in the amount of 183 million Yen

The signing ceremony of the Exchange of Notes (E/N) for Grant Aid was held on 23rd June 2018, in Thimphu.
In this ceremony, the E/N were signed between H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan, with attendance of H.E. Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and H.E. Mr. Damcho Dorji, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
This project will provide scholarship for young public officers in Bhutan to take a degree in Japanese higher educational institutions.
This project will lead to improving the ability of their policy making in Bhutan and contribute towards further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Japan and Bhutan.
