Four Grant Assistance Projects signed in the amount of 1,004 million Yen

The signing ceremony of the Exchange of Notes (E/N) for Grant Aid and the Grant Contracts (G/Cs) for Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security  Projects (GGP), was held on 19th December 2017, at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi.

In this ceremony, the E/N and G/Cs were signed between H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, and H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan.

On the occasion, Ambassador Hiramatsu expressed the wish that Japan would like to contribute more to the economic development of Bhutan by meeting various needs ranging from small to large, by better combining Grant Aid, GGP and, furthermore, Technical Cooperation.

“The Project for the Construction of Disaster-Resilient Emergency Mobile Network”

      Total amount of the Grant: 979 million Yen
 
2. Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)
 (1) “The Project for Reconstruction of Irrigation Channels in Jamkhar Gewog, Trashiyangtse”
            Recipient Organization: Gewog Administration, Jamkhar
            Total amount of the Grant: 8.3 million Yen
 
(2) “The Project for Construction of Common Facility Center for Traditional Handmade Paper Making in Trashiyangtse”
            Recipient Organization: Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag
            Total amount of the Grant: 8.2 million Yen
 
(3) “The Project for Construction of Satellite Clinic in Changjiji, Thimphu”
            Recipient Organization: Thimphu Dzongkhag
            Total amount of the Grant: 8.1 million Yen
