Ambassador Hiramatsu visited Chandigarh

On 8 May 2017, Ambassador Hiramatsu visited Chandigarh, accompanied by representatives from 8 Japanese companies: Hitachi Zosen, Kobelco Construction Machinery, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, NEC, NIDEC, Sojitsu Corporation, Toshiba, and Yanmar. The heads of JICA, JETRO and NEDO also joined.
Ambassador Hiramatsu had a meeting with Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, to discuss further collaboration between Japan and Punjab.
The business delegation had an in-depth discussion with Honorable Minister of Finance, Government of Punjab, Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, about their respective projects and interests in the State.
