●Event Summary
On 25th September, Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU) and Embassy of Japan, as well as Indian Council of World Affairs(ICWA) and the Embassy jointly organized special lectures titled “Japanese Maritime Policy and ‘Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy’” respectively. Guest lecturer from Japan, Professor Atsuko Kanehara of Sophia University (also a Councilor of Advisory Council for the National Headquarters for Ocean Policy of Japan) introduced Japan’s recent development on ocean policies with a focus on Japan’s policy toward a free and open Indo-Pacific(FOIP).
More than eighty people including faculty members and students, attended each lecture.
