Ambassador’s Meghalaya Visit: Ambassador's speech at Asian Confluence’s Seminar

During the official visit to Meghalaya on 7 and 8 May, Ambassador Hiramatsu made a speech “India, Japan and North East” at a seminar named “Emerging Contours in India Japan Friendship: Reflection in the “Third Space” from India’s North East” which was organized by Asian Confluence in the evening of 7 May in Shillong, state capital of Meghalaya. In the seminar, Mr. Conrad Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Ms. Deepa Wadhwa, former Ambassador of India to Japan, Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta, Executive Director of Asian Confluence and others made speeches. In the speech, Ambassador Hiramatsu talked about latest significant achievements between Japan and India as well as Japan's cooperation in North Eastern India while referring to the ever-closest relationship between the two countries. Ambassador also expressed his intention to strengthen the ties further between Japan and India.
