JENESYS 2017 Reunion (For working youth)

The JENESYS 2017 Reunion for the participants of Connectivity Batch was held on 23rd March 2018, at the Ambassador’s Residence, Embassy of Japan, New Delhi.
The participants of Connectivity Batch were young working people who are engaged in sectors such as Infrastructure, Energy, and Smart-City related matters.
At the beginning of the reunion, Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India, delivered his opening remarks, in which he emphasized that “Connectivity” is a very important theme in terms of economic cooperation between Japan and India, and many projects such as Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Railway Project, Smart-City Project, etc., are currently under process collaboratively between Japan and India.
Thereafter, Mr. Kazuharu Kono, Secretary-General, Japan - India Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII), mentioned in his speech that he hoped more Indians got aware of the fact that the introduction of Japanese Shinkansen system is not meant as introducing merely a vehicle, but a whole package of techniques and technical know-hows.
After that, two presenters on behalf of the participants made Power Point presentations on their experiences in Tokyo and Nagoya during their stay in Japan, their activities in India after coming back, as well as their future visions.
