Ambassador Hiramatsu gave a lecture on the environment in BHU (Banaras Hindu University)

On 21 December, Ambassador Hiramatsu gave a lecture titled "Japan's Experience and Contributions to India in the Environmental Field" in Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
About 250 students and professors attended and listened to the lecture.
Ambassador Hiramatsu shared with keen audiences the experiences of Japan’s overcoming the heavy pollution which it once faced during its industrializing period. He also suggested improving the environment in India by applying Japanese technologies. Ambassador concluded his speech by saying, “We hope to work closely with India to improve the environment step by step, which I hope will help enable many people to live a healthier and more comfortable life in India.”
