4th Joint Committee Meeting of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project

On February 17, the 4th Joint Committee Meeting of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project was held at NITI Aayog, National Institution for Transforming India Committee. Dr. Hiroto Izumi, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, and Dr. Arvind Panagariya, Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog, led the Japanese and Indian delegations respectively, which were composed of Secretaries and Director Generals of the related Ministries from both countries. Both sides confirmed the progress of the MAHSR Project, and discussed how to proceed further with this project from now on. The Government of Japan continues to make its best efforts to realize the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project, in cooperation with the Government of India.
