The 9th Japan-India Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation

The 9th Japan-India Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation was held on 30th January, in Delhi, which was co-chaired by Mr. Takeshi Nakane, Ambassador for Science and Technology Cooperation of Japan and Dr. Arabinda Mitra, Advisor and Head, International Bilateral Cooperation Division, Department of Science and Technology (DST) of India.
The Joint Committee meeting is based on Japan-India Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement (signed in 1985) and held mutually in each country.
Participants from Ministries and Institutes of both countries made presentations in various fields such as space, ocean, medical health, energy and human exchange. Both sides shared the progresses of their cooperation made so far and discussed new cooperation in the future.
