The Detailed Design Study on the High Speed Railway Construction Project in India to Commence

On December 9, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a contract with the General Consultant, i.e., the Joint Venture of Japan International Consultants for Transportation Co., Ltd., Nippon Koei Co., LTD., and Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd., and started the detailed design survey for the construction of a high-speed railway link between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, in India, which was agreed to at the Japan-India Summit Meeting held in December 2015.  The General Consultant will provide design and bidding assistance for the public works and systems.
