National Day Reception (His Majesty the Emperor's Birthday)

On 7th December, the National Day Reception to celebrate His Majesty the Emperor's Birthday was held at Ambassador’s Residence, the Embassy of Japan in India with the presence of H.E. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Development of North Eastern States as Chief Guest. The National Anthems of India and Japan were played at the reception, followed by Ambassador Hiramatsu’s speech, in which he spoke about the progress of Japan-India relations such as recent PM Modi’s visit to Japan and forthcoming “2017 The Year of Japan-India Friendly Exchanges.”
Many distinguished guests from the Indian Government and foreign diplomatic missions as well as Japanese nationals living in India attended the reception, and various Japanese companies in India displayed their PR booths at the venue.
