Ambassador Hiramatsu's visit to Madhya Pradesh
Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu visited Indore, the State of Madhya Pradesh, on 22nd October 2016. He participated in the “Invest Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2016 (GIS2016)” as the Head of Delegation from Japan, one of the Partner Countries of the event. At this occasion, he had a meeting with the Honourable, H.E. Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
During the Inauguration Ceremony of the GIS2016 event, Ambassador Hiramatsu delivered a speech in which he shared with the audience his experience of visiting Indore, Pithampur and Vikram-Udyogpuri Industrial Area, this March, with a Japanese industrial mission consisting of around 30 people. He also expressed his expectation that both Japanese and Indian companies participating in this event would find business opportunities through seminars and other occasions. In the speech, he appreciated the strong leadership shown by the Honourable Chief Minister, H.E. Mr. Chouhan, and called for enhanced support from the State Government towards promoting investments (Ambassador Hiramatsu’s remarks). Ambassador Hiramatsu also participated in the Japan Session, co-hosted by JETRO and CII, during the event.
In the meeting with the Honourable Chief Minister, H.E. Mr. Chouhan, Ambassador Hiramatsu discussed issues, such as, how to develop Pithampur and Vikram Udyogpuri, collaboration in the field of Japanese language education, and development assistance in Madhya Pradesh.
